This site is on a Pentium III box running Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server and IIS v5.0. The mail system used here (SMTP) is Qmail. Connection to the Internet is provided from Savvis.Net using a T1.

Links to these sites/services are on the main page with their corresponding logos.

This site is basically for self teaching of Windows NT Server & Windows 2000 Server. All that they entail including Internet Information Server (IIS), DNS, SMTP, DHCP, TCP/IP, NetBEUI, etc; . Mail servers, the Internet and web programming using ASP. We don't get certificates, but we gain plenty of knowledge. So, eventually, we'll be rich ... with knowledge, right?

All of the pages on this site were created using NotePad.Exe (RogSoft NotePad+)... NEVER underestimate the power of Notepad! Most of the pages utilize Microsoft's ASP technology.

All new services placed on this site use local applications. In other words, everything is run on this server. Things like counters and guestbooks are implemented. Some of these (such as the YUMM! site) are still using some free services from the web, but will be migrated to local usage. This means faster access to pages on this server because they are run locally instead of waiting for access to other sites on the web.

Any questions about any of these technologies or information about its implementation, feel free to email us.

Five reasons I use directNIC.com for my domain registrations:

Low registration price. Only $15 a domain per year. Plus, you can have discount rates if you are registering multiple domains.
Flexible management. You can modify your account and your domain by yourself at any time. You don't need somebody's approval and there is no charge for any modification. In addition, you can always ask directNIC.com for help with your domain management.
Free features. If your domain is registered with directNIC.com, you can enjoy their free services, such as URL forwarding, email forwarding, Web hosting, for sale pages, and free domain parking.
Nice customer support. They answer your email and your phone calls almost immediately. I was with another company and I could never get hold of their customer support.
Easy transfer. You can also transfer your domain to directNIC.com and they don't charge for the transfer process. All you need to do is fill out the online transfer forms and then respond to the confirmation email. The $15 dollar transfer fee is actually the first year's registration fee. And, you don't have to register for more than one year. Not only that, but the time you have left with your current registrar will roll over to your new account.
